Global temperature has increased by around 1°C since pre-industrial levels[1], with 19 of the 20 hottest years in recorded history being since 2000.
Earth's temperature has varied a lot in it's history, and was likely significantly hotter when Dinosaurs lived[2], but has been pretty stable since the end of the last ice age 10,000 years ago[3].
Models suggest that surface temperatures could rise 3.1-5.1°C by 2100 in the absence of future climate policy.
